Breakfast burritos seem like a pretty difficult food item to screw up. Even cheap fast food dealers, McDonald’s and Sonic, have pretty good breakfast burritos. But, when a burrito sticks out above the rest, it’s just a matter of time before people will notice.

Such is the case for Room 39′s Huevos Rancheros Burrito. I suggest everyone to take the time to visit Room 39, located in Kansas City’s Midtown area (39th Street). The menu describes the burrito, “Scrambled eggs, spicy chorizo, queso fresco, black beans & scallions in a flour tortilla with crema, tomatillo salsa and a side of breakfast potatoes”. What more do you need to hear?!?

Room 39′s entire menu will give you several reasons to go back. I also suggest the “Bacon, Potato & Vegetable Hash”, “Biscuits & Gravy”, “French Toast” and the “Breakfast Potatoes”.

Burrito Smut

On a beach cruiser bar hopping while riding down Huntington Beach on a Wednesday afternoon. Life only gets better through a lottery win or, a AVN award for most tasteful one on three scene. At least that’s what I thought until my beach cruiser wing man suggested that we stop in at beach front establishment known as Mutt Lynch’s. The menu was standard pub fare but, what caught my eye was the Mutt Sub with garlic fries. Without consultation from the locals I ordered and was delighted to receive nods of approval from my socal friends. I was floored when the sandwich arrived. Let me be frank, this was one of the top three sandwiches I have ever had in my life. The garlic fries were without doubt the best fries I have ever had. Mutt Lynch’s was so good that you could be staring out at septic tank instead of the pacific and you still would be smitten.
