GoGetTheManager.com was created not out of necessity, but rather out of the desire to give proper praises to the best dishes, drinks, and venues that the hospitality industry has to offer. Usually, when a customer asks to “go get a manager” there is reason for concern. Perhaps the service was bad, the food was cold, etc. In this case, you are summoning the manager to say “This dish is unbelievable and I had to let you know!”

Hence: “Go Get the Manager because this is too good!”

HISTORY

Although it is now suburban legend, the story goes that one summer day back in the early 1990’s, my friends and I ate at a local establishment that served up some of the best deli sandwiches around, mostly because one of our friends worked there and was adding a lot of extras for us at no charge. So we are sitting there eating, joking around when one of the fellow workers comes over and asks “Is everything ok?” and “Can I get you anything?” We said nothing at first, but as she kept coming over to asking “Is everything okay here?” several times, one of us stood up and said, “You know what? You can go get the manager over here!”

Startled, the server asked is there was anything wrong with our meal or if she had done something wrong. She went to the back office to get the manager on duty, who came out with an attitude as she could tell we were basically causing mischief in her restaurant. She walked up to the table and asked, “Is there something wrong here?” We all said there is no problem. “So why did you ask to get a manager out here?” My friend stood up, half eaten sandwich in hand, and exclaimed “Because this is just too good!”
